Red Robin Senior Litigation Paralegal in Greenwood Village, Colorado

Based out of our Home Office in Greenwood Village, CO, the Senior Litigation Paralegal provides support to the company’s Litigation Manager and in-house and external attorneys responsible for litigation and employment advice and counsel functions. Support functions include coordinating and drafting legal holds, responding to information requests and third party subpoenas; maintaining case management and e-discovery applications; calendaring, tracking and ensuring deadlines are timely achieved; working collaboratively with internal business partners to identify and locate information necessary for litigation; factual investigation and discovery preparation; and coordinating with outside counsel on administrative agency filings and litigation pleadings.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of litigation and administrative actions including case in-take processes and calendaring, legal holds, tracking and ensuring timely completion of deadlines for a varied litigation portfolio

  • Conduct document searches and factual research on pending litigation, demands and administrative agency charges

  • Act as primary interface with internal business partners to gather relevant files, data, objects and information related to pending litigation, organize and promptly provide to counsel

  • Prepare communications with administrative agencies, outside counsel and third-parties requesting information

  • Assist in drafting position statements, discovery responses, and pleadings for counsel review

  • Analyze discovery for responsiveness, relevance and objections and to determine sources of information

  • Create and maintain preservation notices and conduct email searches

  • Maintain multiple database applications including matter management, e-discovery and e-billing

  • Function as a point of contact to resolve legal and business issues

  • Lead or participate in various legal department projects and collaborate on cross-functional company initiatives

  • Provide administrative support including calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reports, maintenance of legal records and files

  • Manage departmental online and paper subscriptions, memberships and registrations, legal reference resources, and professional affiliations

  • Assist Litigation Manager, and other Legal Department Team Members with other assigned duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or Paralegal Certificate (preferred)

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house law department with significant experience in litigation

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of management

  • Ability to identify and prioritize issues and problem solve

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under short deadlines while maintaining confidentiality of matters

  • Ability to work both collaboratively with team members and independently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (oral and written)

  • Proficiency in Legal Tracker (aka Serengeti) or other similar matter management system and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)
