Red Robin Manager, Finance in Greenwood Village, Colorado

Based out of our Home Office in Greenwood Village, CO the Manager of Finance will be a strategic thought-partner for internal stakeholders and report to the Director of FP&A. The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative manager and will lead and develop an internal team to support the following areas: corporate finance, forecasting, planning, & analysis.


  • Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate period end and annual financial statements; collate financial reporting materials for all groups, and oversee reporting and analytics of the dynamic needs of the business

  • Develops and enhance existing reporting tools and analytics, financial models, long-term financial forecasting and strategic resource planning for an organization with dynamic needs for analytics

  • Oversees management of all regular financial period-end processes

  • Partners with other stakeholders to provides leadership and strategic direction for several department functions

  • Oversees development of annual organizational risk assessment process, implementation, and follow-up related to annual planning

  • Provides ongoing leadership and strategic financial planning to ensure that organization is able to achieve mission and key strategies in accordance with the overall direction of the Board and Executive Committee

  • This position has 2 or more direct reports


  • Masters Degree Strongly Preferred

  • 5 + years’ experience in financial planning and budgeting, financial analysis and accounting, with at least 4 years in a senior role (i.e. playing a “lead” role in Budgeting and related processes). 2 years experience with financial management

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills – it is essential that the incumbent be able to give nuanced and accurate verbal explanations of financial matters, as well as write clear reports, procedures, guidelines, instructions and explanatory memos fluently and quickly, targeting them appropriately to a variety of audiences.

  • Experience in developing financial presentation materials for both Board and staff audiences

  • High proficiency in Excel and accounting software – fast, accurate, sophisticated

  • Self-motivated, action-oriented, creative, collaborative style of leadership

  • Highly skilled in project management principles, processes and techniques and able to meet deadlines and budget limits
