Red Robin Regional Facilities Manager - Illinois / Ohio in Chicago, Illinois

The Facilities Manager supports the regional and local operations teams by maintaining Red Robin restaurants in good working condition. They do this through vendor selection for use in general R&M projects and programs as well as capital improvements to the restaurants. They are also responsible for repair/replace decisions for all Red Robin FF&E.

Duties Include:

Capital Projects

  • Individual restaurant audits to determine upcoming year's capital requirements

  • Work with VP Design & Facilities and operations team to develop approved planned capital list for upcoming year

  • Plan, schedule, execute all planned capital projects to completion on time and on budget

  • Provide timely and accurate solutions to emergency capital needs as they come up

  • Plan, schedule and execute all approved corporate roll-out projects

Repair and Maintenance

  • Identify, qualify, select, monitor & develop regional contractors and vendors for operations to use for repairs and scheduled maintenance

  • Identify, review and submit Major R&M invoices as they come up

  • Manage and monitor Major R&M spending

  • Monitor R&M spending to budget and approve any invoices over $1000

Operations Support and Training

  • Consistently provide regional leadership team with timely and communication on all projects

  • Attend and support OPS at TLFG's and division meetings

  • Serve as “technical expert” for restaurant managers and RODs concerning repair and maintenance & equipment replacement issues, providing direction or ownership as required for resolution.

  • Educate restaurant operators on repair and maintenance accounting polocies and procedures

  • Conduct regularly scheduled restaurant audts making recommendations for needed repairs and coaching on how to effect minor repairs to reduce repair costs and provide a safe environment for our Guests and Team Members

  • Manage all contracts for various service vendors and contractors

  • Provide emergency disaster response for properties as needed

  • NRO warranty support

  • Maintain maintenance and energy management programs within established territories

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or industry related degree

  • 5+ years of experience in Restaurant Facilities Management

  • Proven experience in managing RPM programs and costs

  • Proven experience in managing Capital improvement projects

  • Working knowledge in all restaurant building and equipment systems

  • Working knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to prioritize

  • Flexibility and desire to work in a fast-paced and evolving organization
